Yes, yes you are.. although it's not a complete list yet as I have only got as far as.. Talking heads, The Shangri Las, The electric Prunes, Roxy music, Tubeway army, Velvet underground, err, think thats it so far.

To make feedback that little bit harder, the backlight on my b'stard Ipod has packed in today, so Its a struggle to see whats playing!

But from what I can make out, I am particularly enjoying The electric Prunes! The Shangri Las and Tubeway army also going down well so far ;). Roxy Music isnt grabbing me as much as I thought they would, but will give it another listen:confused: Actually, dont think I have heard Velvet Underground yet, so will report back later as well.

It has made for an enjoyable / educational couple of musical days so far, so cheers for all the suggestions! Will see what tunage delights tomorrow brings..

  3. Sounds like good stuff to me. Love the Electric Prunes - especially Axelrod period. Give the Velvet Underground a proper chance. Up there with the Beatles and the Stones in my book.

I was up at the allotment today, needed summary to listen to while digging the plot over, going through my iPod n thought, hmmmm, not listened to that in a long while....so that was my digging music today, the whole of Luck of the Draw, Bonnie Raitt. I had forgotten what an absolutely stonking album it was, every song great, her slide playing brilliant, her voice never better.

Yep I'd agree with that too.
Velvet Underground 'Loaded' is great although I struggle with a few of the tracks on 'with Nico'.
Tubeway Army 'Replicas ' is fab (what's the redux bit?)
And all the B-52s albums are good fun.
All my stuff's on vinyl, although I'm in the process of digitising it to listen in my truck at work ( an extremely long process for a thousand or so albums! )

  18. Redux was a limited edition cd release with 2 discs (there is another 3 disc version but it's quite expensive). It's the original album and an early vesrion of the album that sounds very different, most of it way better - a bit less commercial, as well as having additional tracks and again some are excellent.

I found it on pirate bay one time, then after listening tracked down a real copy on eBay. Well under a tenner from memory.
