   My bus was our daily drive in Dubai for 12 years.
   Temps were up in the 45-50 C range in the summer, never had a problem with overheating, just slowed down a bit!!

   I have an old wine crate with a basic tool kit and feeler gauge. some spares and a few odds n ends including gaffer tape, electrical tape, a voltmeter and some cable ties. I also have a bulb with two long wires soldered to it that I use for testing for power.
