Chop the lot out, replace with new bits and respray. Not a cheap or quick job Ken as we've discussed. I'm just completing a similar job, bottom half only and it's several £k's work all in.
That's the bottom half, but what about around the windows?

Well from the pics it needs a new front arch and I expect repairs around the arch, probably lower B-posts, rear corners, rear arches... that's just what we can see. What's going on behind these outer panels is probably more work.

Moral of the story? Might look shiney, but that doesn't mean it doesn't need a heap of work in reality. Maybe hit it a chunk at a time? B-Posts forward, rear half, top.

yes i have plans to chop out some at a time:) when i dont need it in winter

  6. Looking like rear outer arches and rear corners are needed which will probably lead to new battery trays arch closing panels and repairs to rear inner arches
How does the rear valance and the top of the chassis rail cover inside the engine bay look?
Hows the deformation panel and cab floor looking
What about the front seatbelt mounting points and the bottom of the windscreen rubber where it meets the front panel?

Are you going to have a crack yourself then Ken?

  10. looks like it has been patched under the rubber of the arch ,usually under that looks bleak...

  11. Deep pockets time, we had the rear corners, battery trays, rear valance and repairs to chassis members plus the wheel arch this winter and it cost a fortune, consensus on here was I overpaid but I don't reckon it was too far off. If you are having it done, I would stage it, depends how far you want to go at once. I feel sure there will be other bits to do.

If you do the cutting out and preparing panels to weld back in, and have a mate who can weld, it'll save a bomb, the actual welding is a tiny part of it. If you then do the filling and rattle can it for now, again you're quids in, then spend the money on a 2-pac respray when you're ready to go. You can get mixed cans for your colour and make a reasonable job of it in the meantime.

  15. looks much the same as mine, oh happy happy days, going to do ours a bit at a time come September, 3 more payments and my mate who lent me the rest of the cash is paid off.
