Yesterday I thought the van was broken...

  1. ....but it turns out I had just run out of fuel.

I've not used the van since Brighton Breeze and literally must have crawled home on the last drops of fuel. So I nipped to the garage and for 5Ls to get her going.

Then Katie and I took the van out to the tip and to the supermarket to give her a little run.

When we got back I then decided to give the van a good old wash ... she's starting to get quite rusty in places so my plan for next weekend is to finish emptying the garage and get her in there.

I had a quick look in the engine bay and realised I have got 'engine bay envy' (ebe) after seeing Richard and Jens shiny engine bay.

It was so nice driving round town in a bright Pink bus :tophat:

I'm sure this post has been of no interest to most of you but I thank you for reading ...

bit of tlc over winter Dan & Pinky will look great, bits at a time mate, thats all it takes (I have some undersealing to do on Major over winter)

  6. Don't be envious - we've got to keep it that clean now!

I'm glad it wasn't anything serious other than fuel with Pinky - we've 'broken down' twice on the way to get petrol before now...

  8. oh no E.B.E is going to catch on ... T.L.B.E.B.E is going to infect everyone soon enough

  9. Just remember guys that your ebe is at a £2000 expense for us! ;)

  10. true - sadly when my engine blew up and i had to spend £2k the guys who did the work was the opposite of Birdy.

he literally shoved it in - no fuel line replacements, no cleaning up - he even left of important bolts and left the fuel pump loose ...

i think instead of Birdys Buses it should be called 'Birdy Loves Buses'
