Yankee Candles (A Very Girly Sort of Thread)

Not that boys aren't allowed, obviously )

Anyway, I have a sort of tradition. As soon as Vanfest is over, I can start to build up my stocks of Yankee Candles, expecially the fabulous Christmassy type smells. I am addicted to them :-[ ;D

Is anyone else into Yankee Candles?

What is it with women and candles ?

 

the fresh washed linen one is the best...though isn't all that christmassy! Also like the apple ones. I taught a very smelly group of teenagers once and used to spray the green apple room freshener to mask the smell of boy-farts

 

mulled wine and spicy apple are my favs..

 

I was given some of those room diffusers (i.e. sticks in a bottle of smelly stuff) from The White Company which are very very nice and almost mask the scent of wet dog...

 

Love them - we have about 6 in varying stages of burnedness at the moment.

 

I find them expensive so by Ikea scented ones instead. I do rather like the cinnamon one.

 

I make my own candles cheaper and not too difficult either plus can make them smell however you want!

It is my 'inner-Kirsty' moment!!!

 

I love candles but have never been wildly impressed with the Yankee candles. I love, love, LOVE the Jo Malone ones but I may as well draw all my savings out the bank account and burn that and cut out the middle man!
