  1. Hi. My bus is going up for sale because Im just not having the time to use it. Been away once this year and it seems such a waste

Im asking £8250 ono but i'm realistic enough to know these are very subjective buses. If your interested, come and have a look. Have a cup of tea and take her for a ride then we'll talk money.

Mot'd 20th July so just over 11 months mot left.
Tax runs out end of Oct
Just had it fully serviced along with the mot
Im the 4th keeper since 1998 and Ive had it since 2010

As Ive said, it's a 2ltr and its as strong as an ox. It has a twin exhaust on the back that is only about 5/6 years old.It pulls all day. I,like many, cruise around the 55 mark but it'll easily sit at 70 but youll drink the petrol at that speed.
It's only once ever let me down and that was the mechanical fuel pump failing on me. That's been replaced for an electrical one so no problem since. She wont let you down.
The following is a list of work I've had done since I've owned her.(All done by vw specialists, not me)

    Aug 2010
There was a slight oil leak from the filter housing to the engine. this was repaired along with the vac pipes being changed.

    Nov 2010
The sliding door wasn't a great fit due to a rotten inner guide rail. That was replaced along with the nylon bush and refitted.

    June 2011.
Engine out. Strip out and remove piston rings, replace all push rod tube seals, new oil pressure switch and new piston rings.

    June 2012
All new drums and shoes on the rear alongside with new wheel brake cylinders.
Replacement panels fitted to o/s and n/s front foot wells

    July 2013
We had just set out on our holiday and had barely covered 5 miles when a stone shattered the front windscreen. When the fitter came out to replace it, we discovered the windscreen surround was rotten
so the holiday went out the window(pun intended). So we had the whole of the front panels replaced, inner and outer and obviously a brand new unscratched windscreen.
Some minor issues with the electrics and replaced a couple of fuel lines for the mot.

    July 2014
Just had a full service which included new plugs, points, rotor arm,oil strainer, filter and oil change. All axle points etc greased and flew through the mot with just a couple of bulbs needing replacing.

Ive also changed all the fuel breather pipes.

It has an adjustable front beam and is lowered at the moment.

Some of the panels have the usual issues with a bit of rot coming through and hopefully the photos reflect this.

The headlining has a few rips in and the front is saggy and ripped beyond resonable fixing. I've been quoted £450 to replace it so I've reflected this in the asking price. At least it'll be brand new when done.

There is so much storage space within that we should have called her the Tardis. Hopefully the pictures will reflect this.

There are 2 seatbelts fitted on the back seat.

It has a 3/4 rock and roll bed.
    2 ring burner with grill.
New gas bottle fitted 2 weeks ago when we were away.
Sink and cold water supply with an electrical pump.Foot operated.
The front of the van has the brackets fitted for the over the seats bunk. I did have the poles but since moving,I cant find them. Easily sourced. Enables a child to sleep over the front seats.
Also comes with a set of thermal insulated window covers for keeping the dark and cold out.
There is also a lockable safe fitted for your valuables/money/passports.

It has a bike carrier on the back but I wasn't intending to sell this unless it's a deal breaker
I'm going to throw in the awning as well because, to be honest, you aren't going to want to stay just in the van. It's no problem for a weekend but any longer and you'll be grateful for the extra space.
It has a seperate bedroom pod within and I bought the whole awning brand new back in 2010.

Sorry. Posted before I got the chance to post pics etc. Doing it now.

  8. What is it lowered with? Adjusters on the front, 1 spline on the rear?

  9. I know this is going to sound bad but I dont know. I do know that my vw garage that do all my servicing etc told me it was properly done. If you tell me what to look for then I'll do my best. I'll try and phone my mechanic tomorrow to see if he remembers .
