I do not want a second referendum.
I want a second and a third referendum.
I want two more referenda! (made up word?)

From what I have seen on this very weird classic camper forum (remember that), we are now more entrenched in our respective views than before.
I truly believe that people did not know the facts. I truly believe we still don't know the facts.
I do believe in democracy but I think this is such huge 'thing' (especially now the Gov's bill has been voted out) that it should be voted on again.

If the views have not changed then we will have another leave result - all is good.
If the views have changed then we will have a split decision and then another vote - all is good.
We will then have a chance to decide once and for all.

What this would do is give us another chance to negotiate a better deal than a 'no deal' 'hard brexit'.

What I don't understand is the need for the leavers to want everything now!
You voted to leave - great. Let's let that happen.

The best analogy to my mind is the 'divorce' analogy that is being banded around (not by me).
I am divorced. I wanted out of a situation I did not like. It took many years and a lot of money to get to a happy place. It was worth the extended wait and negotiations. It was what I wanted in the long run.
I think it is the same. If Brexit is to be realised, let's do it in a controlled way, over time; it will be worth it in the end.
Do not try to force it because - 'we voted out and we want it now!'. That petulance shows a lack of understanding and patience that what you wanted is coming.

    Soz.

    Yup - shambles.

The problem is that the 'opposition' has just been saying "you're crap, and your ideas are crap". Every now and then "we'd do a much better job than you are doing". No-one has a plan - a robust, achievable, realistic plan.

There never was a Brexit plan. This was all instigated by an idiot who believed he would not be defeated.
Then everyone else jumped on the idea of 'leave'.

All I would ask is; someone give me a workable leave strategy (not idea or wish) and I will gladly, and seriously, look at it.

As I am convinced that neither Jezza or Tezza is following this forum or thread with great interest, I'm oot.

Problem with all this Barn is political points scoring on both sides and not looking at the best interests of the country as a whole.

  10. Both sides lied through their teeth why should a vote be re run until an acceptable result to those who lost be classed as democratic

So....how does Europe work for 'us'?

Ford took at £80m sweetener from Turkey to move transit manufacture from Southampton in 2012.

JLR took £110m sweetener to build their biggest plant on Slovakia...last year....then put 5000 British workers on shortened week, they will also build the new Landrover Defender there and will move Jaguar production there soon enough.

From what I can see, the game with Europe was to bring in many post Warsaw Pact countries in to prevent the rise of the eastern block once again.

These countries mostly haven't got a pot to p1ss in, but have cheap skilled labour.

With each country getting an equal vote in Europe, you need each to be pretty much economic equals.

Our issue is a lot of what's left of our big industries are foreign owned and they will chase the bottom line and dump on workers that have stayed loyal to them through thick and thin. So I imagine there is more asset stripping to come.

Europe, specifically the Germans, took Greece to the wall, as they did to a lesser degree Ireland.

I was indifferent on a massive scale prior to this, and whilst I don't know what the future holds outside of Europe, I'm extremely wary of staying in bed with this lot does for us.

As for the relevance of our political classes and their posturing...it's pretty much irrelevant.

  12. The ones who would not accept a democratic vote should hang their sorry heads in shame.
I will never vote again all I will do is write across my ballot paper is "non of these and those already in parliament are fit to hold a responsible position"

  13. The biggest worry in Europe is who is going to pay the money that the UK will no longer pay.
Germany and France can't afford to anymore.
Poland Romania and Hungary can't neither can the Baltic states or Spain bunch of basket cases the lot of them I would like to see a big resounding No Deal
