Mini Moke hire car in Lefkas. No brakes No power No seatbelts No roof Vestigial roll bars Wooohoooo fun on single track mountain roads with cliffs below you... We were just walking alon the sea front past the car hire place and there was a Moke sitting there.. so we had to hire it...because it was there...
1970s Aston Martin v8, drive was horrible, brakes were a joke and it felt like I was dragging an elephant behind me, I was very disappointed , was about 21, Tvr 500 griffith was lots of fun, almost crashing it was not so much fun
Nissan Juke with the CVT auto box, the car itself was ok but the gearbox was by far the worst thing I’ve ever experienced. Revving the nutbag off itself constantly to make any significant progress!
It was truly awful. Stupid gear change, no power, freezing ( colder than my landrover). didn't like going round corners and the seats were un comfortable. Oh and no stereo.
Can't say much good about my friend's Honda CRV, don't see what the fuss is about. But the worst has to be a Chevy Caprice, it was a hire car, one of the rounded shapes, like driving a barge; it had a special key called a Valet key that would open the doors and start the car but wouldn't open the glove box or boot. There's a Korean saloon that is sold in the US as Ford competitor, it was so boring I have forgotten the name. The US Fords it was pitched against were pretty awful and dull, Ford Tauras , I think. In fact, almost without exception my worst drives are cars in the US, not necessarily US makes, just US market models. I had a Merc baby A class a couple of summers ago, I couldn't believe how slow it was given it had 120 bhp, brakes were AMG, they were good.
What!?! Great gear change once you knew how to do it 602 ( or was it 603?) cc of raw power Bit rocky admittedly, but rarely rolled over Easily removable seats for camping 2 knob job radio in mine!
I love the look of yank muscle cars but the Chrysler LeBaron 3L V6 convertible we hired on holiday (back in the day) felt like it had no power whatsoever. I blamed emission stuff but who knows?
My brother bought it. He was living in Shropshire and asked me to pick it up from Accrington and drive it to Church Stretton. I had to learn Very quickly how to operate the gearbox with no manual. to an onlooker it must have been hilarious. To me it was an excuse for possible the greatest concentration of expletives I have ever used. Oh. and just to make it worse, I had to bring a washing machine with me in the back. So fair play to the seats this as that was actually quite good.
Can’t believe nobody has already mentioned a pair of automotive gems, Day-woo Matiz and the first Vauxhall Agila’s, which we’re a rebadged Suzuki. Both amazing in their ability to be sold when new, I can’t imagine anyone ever going to look at one, and thinking they’d made a good choice when driving it away!
LOL. Wont work now, but on the New Posts page there was this thread followed by the My Mustang thread.
