Vauxhall zafira 1.6 turd burger. Used more oil then petrol which according to Vauxhall is within spec so between services it could be bone dry. Let’s not mention the fact that it could burst into flames at any given second Oh And anymore then zero people in it then it’s massively under powered great for a seven seater car. At least when I had a head on at 40 with some tool on the wrong side of the road the air bags didn’t go off so the scrap yard could sell them
My Dad used to have an Allegro 1750 Sport(!!), without a doubt the worst car I've ever had the misfortune to drive. Where the "Sport" bit came from God only knows The steering was heavy, the gearshift like stirring porridge and it had the usual bouncy Hydragas suspension. It also used nearly as much oil as petrol.
Steady on there , i thrashed half a dozen to death - cheapo giggles and the engines were bulletproof Handled like a go kart but rusted like a b`stard Worst car was my mates Lada with a knackered steering rack , like in half way around a corner you`d turn in a bit more only to have it hit the bit of rack with broken teeth "Well what d`ya expect for thirty quid ??" - Looking back the eighties were ace , gawd knows how we survived it all !! Happy days ...
Worst car I ever drive was a Mercedes, can't remember if it was a 190 or a 230. It felt heartless, had a stupid handbrake pedal. The seats were horrible and it felt like I was driving s tank. Sent from my BND-L21 using Tapatalk
I had one for a loan car in the eighties... I did my best to thrash it to death, but it was unbreakable! Well, apart from the plastic interior bits, and the rusty bits.. Worst car was probably a Renault 19 I think, felt like it was made entirely of plastic... drove like it as well. Talbot horizon was close 2nd... genuinely sounded like a knackered Singer sowing machine..
I had a white 190 e with chrome wing trim, i loved it, underpowered yes but was like wallowing along on a bed with its sprung seat base
Vauxhall Cavalier 1300 automatic I once borrowed from a mate to drive up to Dundee. Absolutely no power. Overtaking was impossibly dangerous. I'd press the accelerator and the noise increased but not the speed. Drank like a fish, handled like a pig and the starter used to stick. I think he only lent it to me hoping I'd crash and write it off!
I'm going to get shot down in flames here but the worst vehicle to drive that I have had is my 73 Camper van -but having said that it is probably the most interesting/involving to drive.
Pug 307 1.4 Diesel. Dressed up as a Police car. Awful, awful car. They had no redeeming qualities at all. Bits used to drop off on a daily basis. Couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding brakes were so bad they stopped us driving them as response cars. The 2 litre estate version, not so bad.
When I was building I had a range rover and landy for site work. They were okay, the R/Rover very good actually. One day when I was at a sale and someone offered me a pick up they owned at a reasonable price and I though 'yeah, that's an handy addition to the workforce, so bought it off him! IT REALLY WASN'T!
