  2. can you push the low side up so that it goes straight?
if not, it could be that too much of the bottom of the plastic is trapped under the bar that holds it down. If you can, it may be the springs on one side not performing at their best :)

  3. there are large springs inside the telescopic tudes, these become strained over the years and cause the poptop to sag .
Thay push up and hold the poptop up.
Thay can be bought new and replaced along with the bellows, you would then have a roof that is as good as new,
but it is quite a tricky and time consuming job
So the question is ,how practical are you , or how deep are your pockets?

  4. Hi we can push it up put have to hold it up straight as soon as you move hand it just drops back to wonky!!...The bars are free from the plastic! Was wondering if there is anyway or somebody knows where i can get a new bars and springs etc to make her stay up straight? and also what is under the white plastic lining please? i havent a clue and other half will kill me if i rip it (i can feel metal bars going accross side to side and there like caved in)...any help would be great

  5. Thanks so much for reply and advice,...im up for a challenge but would rather a expert done it lol...were going to change bellows in future but just want poles and springs, tubes sorted 1st...;)...as for pockets they aint that deep lol

  6. I think JK or one of the other large parts suppliers sell the springs , cant remember the name of the bellows supplier.but could find out latter.

  7. I love the colour of your bus dude:thumbsup:

  8. sorry, i meant that there are bars at the base of the bellows which keeps them in place when you lift the pop top - i trapped too much in mine and it wouldn't go up straight.
does sound like a spring replacement is the way forward. I have the same bellows as you and was surprised how well they cleaned up and repaired (clear tape, cleaner for plastic convertible windows, lots of elbow grease and finish with a rinse of bicarbonate of soda to kill mould and mouldy smell) :)

  9. Ok great will have a look on jk site thanks again for advice..if you could find out bellows supplier that be great to...

  10. spring replacement and lots of elbow work.....Oh god i hate cleaning lol...but will def have a good old clean and check out bars!..i double checked all around and all free from bars must just be in neeed of new springs!
