Won’t start

  1. had been really looking forward to getting camper out to drive today but no such luck. Normally when key is part turned I get a clicking noise, which I believe is electric ignition, but nothing today.
Little red lights for oil and battery on and then fade.

    Assuming battery is flat yeah?

If I plug in leisure battery to charge once full will it start on van battery? Realise you will probably say depends on set up.

As you are aware I really am not mechanical (although keen to come to next techenders to learn some basics from you experts).

  2. You’re leisure battery should start it if its charged & ok. Do you mean connecting them with jump leads?

That clicking noise is probably an electric fuel pump

Charge the battery or jump it from another vehicle thats got its engine running

Don’t use your leisure battery if you can help it.
    They really don’t like it.

A single click when you turn the key to run is a fuel solenoid.

If lights fade then its new battery time. Once you leave them flat they lose capacity. Even charging them up does not help, unless the battery was new before being allowed to go flat. In that case you might be lucky.
