womballs poppy the crossover

  2. Just a little update as been busy with things and bad weather doesn't help, but got inner windscreen panel area cleaned up but rain stopped play [​IMG] so left that till next week [​IMG] finished the bottom of the sliding door ready for skin .

  3. :rolleyes:Bloooooody weather so went in the garage and converted a newer engine lid in to a 72 lid with fat hinges [​IMG]got this one from fleabay for a pound [​IMG]and this is the original one from the 72 so I cut out the hinge parts and transferred to the newer one [​IMG] [​IMG][/URL [​IMG]going to carry on with the sliding door now

  4. Had a few hours to day to play so started on the front again and got the inner windscreen panel in [​IMG]Then got the front panel on and checked the fit [​IMG]got most of it welded not bad for an old panel that's been laying around for a while. Come on summer.
     
  5. Got the bumpers out to repair going to need quite a bit of work got some big hole's [​IMG] [​IMG] a least it's all there so see how it goes as I don't whant to buy some more
     
  6. Man of your talents will soon have those bumpers sorted as good as new

  7. Cheers paradox. Just want to get it on the road so I can have some time with my girls. I will do it up as a rolling resto this one.

  10. Hi m8 been busy with the new house so I'm only consantrating on the crossover to try and get it on the road. I want a van for the summer, it will look a ruff rat style, but been cleaning things to go back on and some welding :rolleyes:

  13. How did you find the fit on the inner door bottom repair panel? just done an almost identical repair on an early door....same 450mm outer skin by the look of it too! lol
     
  14. Hi m8 the fits not bad but still needs some cutting to get it right;) but all panels need something on these old buses :thumbsup:

    I found the corners a challenge.....couldnt get mine sitting right where the roller arm sits.....ended up beating it in with a hammer lol

  17. Just a quick update [​IMG]been rebuilding engine after a good clean and new gaskets and tubes :) will get some more pics at the weekend and try to keep this thread a bit more on track:rolleyes: as it's a bit here and there :D
     
  18. Cleaned the seats tonight as they wrere disgusting one looked like it was covered in cooking fat or something

    They came up like new ones got a little bit of yellow stain left but a bit of vinly colour will sort it out so suprised that they came up so well :)

  20. Oven cleaner Mr mucle works brilliant on all vinly like dirty door cards mats ect
