  1. This is coming along really well. Those fabricated panels look better than the ones you can buy!!
     
  2. I know the feelig of finding lots of rotten steel when you cut bits out, my heart sinks lol you must have some sort of lion hearto_O, good work man you really are doing a great job!

    its like your using the old bus as a template to build a new one theres so much rust :D

  4. Thanks diddy, you could be right most of the bus will be new, but still cheaper than buying one half don, then having to tear it apart and do it right.
    plus i like to do my own thing :cool:. Yours is looking great, been watching it coming along.

  5. Well i must say that you are the metal work king - outstanding work, the repair sections look as good as the factory ones.
    I must say i do like the making and welding of steel the best bit - just spent 2 months of sanding filler and thats @@@@!
    will be keeping an eye out for more of your steel fab work.
     
  6. your not wrong.....you can end up buying a nice shiny bus and find out it is made of filler!

    no bus should be sent to the scrap yard IMO :cool: well done for saving it :)

    Thanks Marc I don't no about metal king:oops: , but I do like that side of restoration, but body work and painting is good fun as well because people can see that,but people dont see the metal as it gets covered .

    When i first saw the bus i thought you were nuts but now ill be checking in on each future update

    Great to see another rusty bus being nailed by a true enthusiast. Brilliant metalworking skills, good to see some metal tech in here , keep it coming fantastic posts...

  15. While im waiting for some more metal sheet to come:( , i thought that i might make a start on the front corner and chassie rail ,outriggers.
    so here some pics. not to bad .:rolleyes:

  16. My little project:confused: having to make a new one as all you can buy is the inside part,
    [​IMG]so thought i will try to make a new one .something to do when i get home from work :D
