Wires to coil ??

My bus has no reversing light. No fuel cut off. And no chokes.
Running twin carbs
What wires go on the 15+ side..
I've got
Black thick gauge
White and green stripe. And the oil pressure wire that is connected to the crankcase.
It's the loom that clips over the fan housing.

Black wire from the loom goes on the +

 

Thanks the green white stripe is bugging me thou I'm going to go through my photos to see where it went it's dead when the ignition is on/off 0 volts

 

Do you still have the diagnostic socket by the top right hand of engine lid if so it’s this and it goes on the neg side of the coil

Did 72/73 buses not have reversing lights there is no plug or wiring on the BOX?

 

Depends. Scoot under your van, look on the left hand side of the gearbox up by the nose cone for a reversing light switch.

 

I think they were an optional extra

 

They were indeed.

 

So every time you put it in reverse you have to get out, climb under the bus, switch on the reversing lights, jump back in etc etc, I'd sooner not bother

I can't help with the reversing lights but if you ever want advise regarding the wife I'm your man

 

Could always fit one...
