Line of silicone all the way around where you want it to stick ... Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
With sticky tape and a heavy enough PVC you can peel it back, fiddle and replace the PVC on the old tape.
Thanks all, I'll have to have an experiment with both tape and silicon with some similar grade polythene, when the madmatz stuff turns up.
Use silicone if you never want to remove the liner but if you need to remove a door handle, lock, winder etc in the future you’ll wish you’d used double side tape – and it looks much neater, not that you can see it once the panel is fitted but you’d still know there’s bathroom sealant squashed all over the place.
Here's one of my rather careworn door membranes. They've been off more times than Katie Price's undergarments. Note double flappy bits over vent and speaker.
@snotty @mikedjames @77 Westy, what brand of double sided tape did you use that can be removed, demounted, please? I am overwhelmed at the choice on fleabay, brands like Sunfu and Xhinwa that I've never heard of. I after one that would allow me to peel back the membrane, if required, rather than the sticks like Marmite-to-an-army-blanket variety. Thanks.
I used some cheap stuff possibly from ALDI or B&Q. Or maybe it was Sellotape from Amazon. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sellotape-Double-Sided-Tape-15mm/dp/B002CM350G
The fun part is is lining up all the clips on the new door cards to the holes on the doors Without pinching your fingers as you get to the last few
