Hi Guy finally sorted it thanks to all, Wilma is 1978 LHD Bay, she is an Austrian impoert used to be used as an Ambulance !!! Genuinely she was : that was until someone got the desire to do a "random" paint job. At the mo we are in the throws of removing all the flaking underseal and converting it to a RHD. BY the way thanks Big Rich for all your help in getting parts and vasts amount of information, cheers Geeza. I have added a pic of my mate Adys (the restoration guru)Chevvy needless to say he is my man on the finished product.
Good luck with the resto, looks like you have a nice space to do it in. Now, about that Chevy, that is sweeeeeeet O0, are we talking '47? am I close? Cheers, MM
Lovely, when we get our vans finished we will have to meet up, but only if the '47 Chevy comes along Ran a '66 Mustang 'vert for many years and quite into my Americana O0 MM
sounds good to me, but Adys Chevvy does max 8 mpg would have to be quite local. Will see if i can gat a few more pics, the engine oooooooooooh the engine you would feel like doing something silly in front of it . Its a work of art , where abouts in Sunny Kent are you anyway ?? 8)
Ady looks a bit young to be doing full on VW and Chevy restos! ;D Looking good, did it come with that paint job or have you resprayed it?
Yeah he is young but a quick learner ;D . No Ady biught the Chevvy as a complete restoration total engine rebuild (will pop a few pics on later), retrim and respray !
We managed to get a little done, door skins and a bit of paint stripping to reveal an ugly previous repair :
