After TLB summer camp 2011 VW Olive Jo with daughter and chum and myself had made plans to head south to Plymouth and visit a little place called Whitsands Bay for 7 nights.

It was her choice and l must say she did well. The arrival weather however was not to my liking!!

The roast dinner however was thanks to Mr Sainsbury's who refused to sell me vodka because l looked under 25. l could have kissed him :-*

Next day and it was safe to venture outside.

    No frills chalets.
Crazy golf anyone? We had it all.
    All shared with wild rabbits.

The place is built on a fort to protect Plymouth from Nepolean. Sadly by the time it was finished the weaponry had evolved but the fort does still contain some items from yesteryear with tours on Sundays. We missed them but the groundsman showed us.

    Bumped into Jannerbay.

And while driving around the local town we saw this eyesore.

Another day was spent at the beach. Being such a climb it's easy to say that it never gets busy.

The local beach shops ingenious use of a shopping trolly.

And l thought it was the Baywatch life guards that were full of muscles...so too were the rocks.

Prize for parking. Yes that is a 4x4 parked in the middle of the cliff.

    My Westfalia catalog shot.

    And the beautiful sky line.

Another day and we went to Mawgan Porth to see the Wilmas.

Who then hits the bottle. Oi...That's my job.

And then disaster strikes. TLB is down :(

Another day and a trip to Plymouth aquarium. Rather good too.

A tribute to John Baker. A urinal. Nice.

Driving home and Barry walks on water.

We'd lost our other pitch that we were *cough* borrowing so this is how we looked.

Our last day was spent at the site enjoying the heated pool. Having only learnt to swim recently the girls tried to get me to do handstands and dive. Afterwards the buses got turned into mobile clothes horses.
