    It doesn't mention in the Haynes whether the marks on the poshrod tubes go towards the cam or head, from memory it could be the cam?
     
  2. What marks? On a type 1 engine, both ends are the same. Good practice to put the seam facing upwards, in case the tube splits (unlikely).

    PS Have you got posh rods? I'm jealous :)
     
  3. I don't think it matters... end profiles are the same on both ends of the pushrod

    If you look at one end of the POSHrod there is a section of knurling about 1cm in and 1cm long I was told to put them one way or the other, I think it was towards the cam.

    Sorry meant pushrods not pushrod tubes dohhh, Im tired cos I dropped a big end shell and it fell past the cam, took me an hour to get it out!!!!
