  1. Any one reccomend a good metal full width R&R bed????

I've got to get one soon so I know where to weld my last seat belt mount to the wheel arch.

I've heard a few can catch on the spare wheel if its in the back?? not sure I'll have the spare in the back but I'd like the option at least :D

get a westy full width one, i have found the metal ones to be not so good, got one here if you want ot copy it :)

  3. I've got a set of "click clack" hindges that came with the bus.........but I didnt think a wooden seat would be as sturdy as a metal one??? especially in a crash??

Its more to catch fire too I would have thought?

made of 30mm marine ply i think, the metal ones are only a frame, if it were solid metal perhaps if would offer different protection. the bluebird ones etc are made of pretty weedy box section, the jk one thats adjustable doesnt adjust very well or sit flat or rock n roll properly. try a westy one you will see what i mean. the bed its self is not supporting as such, you sit on it but its the seatbelts that hold you in place int eh event of a crash, i think if you van is hot enough to set alight to the rock n roll bed then its way to late to be worried about whats flammable.

  5. We bought the Bluebird full width and to be honest it's not worth the money :( It was a bugger to fit and we had to get one of the bed panels replaced as it was dented and the replacement they sent was even worse. Its makes that annoying bent metal sound when you sit on it all the time and they actually sent us a handle for the bed about a month after we'd bought it which is apparently supposed to help pull the bed into shape. It doesn't. It's rubbish.

I use a 3/4 Bluebird and it was easy to fit, is strong and is good quality. Obviously has mixed reviews.
