Where to go?

Discussion in 'Cumbria' started by top banana racing, Aug 11, 2015.

  1. @Mrs Top Banana Racing and I want to go for a long weekend in the lakes as soon as the kids go back to school.
    Things we like.......
    Me: Pub
Mrs TBR: Excellent showers and toilets, hook up (if poss), views, lakes, touristy things.

Things we don't like: close neighbours, kids.

Needs to be dog friendly too.

Suggestions please..... (& links, 'cos I'm lazy)

Don't, whatever you do, go camping with your neighbour's kids!!! :)

  6. This one is great, especially if it's wet as Keswick has a bit to offer!
Consisting old hall site is good too....

  7. Park foot at Ullswater was nice last time we were there, you can go on the main site which has all the niceties or in the lower field which has no hook up but does have a toilet block, the lower field is on the lake edge.

A nice evening stroll around the edge of the lake brings you out at pooley bridge which had a lovely pub.

It's a long trip with a meteorite wedged in your roof rack

Ticks all the boxes - i`ve been going LONG before it was a `club` site and it hasn`t changed .
Just out of town , Easy walks and 2 minutes to the pub

  10. I think if you go to the lakes ,you might actually see a couple ,all the sites I went to had no caravans..

  11. We've been through twice and Mrs T has singularly failed to be awake at the right time!
