Try a paint mixing company. I use LE Went in Croydon. They can mix it into spray cans.

  3. Yeah^ a professional paint shop would be best & they should be able to colour match your paint

  4. Always found Halfords good, they are more expensive than Auto Paints who I normally use but they are open weekends & quite late in the week. :)

  5. I use Rainbow Paints Ferndown speak to Kim she is big into Vw her partner runs South Coast Kustoms - They are good on price will make up as a rattle can for you

  6. I think my bus is Regatta Blue or regatta blau which i have been told, i have found 2 codes, L50F and LB5Y. I there any way i can be sure of the exact colour?

  7. Just read on my resto thread that your just up the road from me. Try Express paints in Portsmouth, they are pretty good there :D.

  9. Would a paint chip be enough of a sample?

  10. I think the bigger the sample the better the match will be. they probably could match it, depends how big it is

I took my MGB boot lid down to express paints an they got the match spot on.

with smaller samples the match doesnt seem to be quite as good :(

for the bus and the MG, whenever I paint now with a new colour I spray a piece of metal 2inch by 2 inch to use as a sample to take to paint shops....also useful to take if your trying to get a good colour match or co ordination for the interior items/upholstery
