What's good for getting rid of surface rust please ?

If its true surface rust the only way to remove it is abrasives anything else is merely slowing down the progress of corrosion or removing/hiding the tell tale signs
I have to agree, I'm a painter by trade and the only way to remove rust completely is either abrasives or cutting out. Even with using abrasives, you only have to leave a couple of microns of rust particles in thye panel for it to begin its process again!
