  4. I agree please Close this thread we are to passionate about our teams and believe me it will end in tears, my best mate is a Spurs fan and we never discuss our teams coz we end up punching each other and I value my friendship more tbh

  5. No need, this thread is just a bit of fun, all the guys on here know I'm a wind up and it's all light hearted banter, you should see the stick they give me when Chelsea lose, even the supporters of mid table teams like @Ploptop2 @Merlin Cat give it to me

  6. You finally sobered up then. Thought you would be still recovering.
Well done by the way :hattip:

I will have a bet with you Bazza. 5 pints of your favourite or mine bought for the highest finishing of our teams next season?

In other words. I bet you five pints of your favourite v five pints of mine that we finish higher than you next season!

I drink pints of Glenfiddich btw ;)
    Not really it's coider!

Bazza, how well do you think Chelsea would have done with champions league football to cope with as well. Do you think the injuries you seemed to avoid without it may have made a difference, the red cards and the energy sapping extra games? Personally I think it may have been a different end to the season with your lot having a good run in the champions league!

Not sour grapes or a wind up, just curious as to whether you can see the difference European football has on teams!

A European final. I know it's only the Europa cup, but from little acorns....

  14. When we won the double in 2009/10 we were in the champions league, very much like this season we virtually played the same team every week, I don't think being in the Champions league next season is going to make any difference, yes we will have to buy one or two. Did you know in the last 6 season Manchester United and Arsenal have had the most amount of injuries, have a guess which team had the least, you got it Chelsea, maybe other teams need to look at their training methods, just a thought

Possibly training ground problems. I can't deny that. The extra team players you need won't be a couple. I think you need four upwards.

When utd did the treble we had a settled team too, but he did rotate and used a fair few youngsters and reserves. I am still gutted we lost in the quarter finals at white Hart lane 3 - 1. We should have won the league cup that year too!

  16. Next season I think it will be between Chelsea Tottenham and Man Utd for the league, I think Arsenal need to get rid of Wenger , I also think Man City have the wrong manager and Liverpool are just Liverpool,
Begovic,Terry Costa, William, and Fabragas will go, Berkeley Lukaku, Benzima, Sanchez and the fella from Swansea could be in

  19. Whatever happens too much money will be spent on overpayed premedonnas.
Man u used to boast about bringing through the youth and other teams trying to buy the title.
Being a Barnsley fan puts the whole thing back to reality.
You build an academy pull young talent through so you can sell just to survive.
Its a shame football is just a business now and its the fans that suffer though their pockets.
    Ok rant over :hattip:

We still have an academy and a lot of players are playing football because of it. I think Jose will spend because of the pressure to succeed, but he will probably bring players through if he stays long term. It's how utd have always done it and I can't see us changing too much.
