  1. Unfortunately we've had to cancel our trip to Vanfest as my 9 year old son, morgan has badly broken his leg! :'(
so, ive got 2 adult entry and family camping tickets WORTH £90!! (kids u16 go free) up for grabs to the person who makes me the best swap offer in the next coupls of days.
Vanfest is now sold out so you cant get these anywhere else!!
I could stick them on ebay but would rather give them to someone off the forum.
So come on guys and gals, what would you swap?
A new project has just come my way so any mk1 golf gti or late Westy bits would be top of my list but equally something to cheer up a very disheartened 9 yr old! anything considered!!
Ill post them out wednesday first class to the lucky 'winner'!!
    regards
    Rob

its just another reason i wont be going to vanfest ever again, its over priced, over rated and well past its best, years ago it was the biggest and best but its lost its way in my opinion, they just want your money and cram you in :( i think camperjam will or has become the best show as its still a down to earth vw show in a great location

  14. i agree Mrsdnd. unless they use a barcode scanner, it'll be a v long process checking serial numbers.
also, if i bought tix and gave then to you, how do they know you're not me? are they checking birth certificates/passports etc??

this seems remarkably unfair esp as *they* are not offering refunds. They're too worried about losing money for my liking. they've put that above losing some genuine, loyal enthusiasts.

and they'll carry on with such bully-boy tactics until we vote with our feet.

  15. I had no idea that this subject would generate such a negative response!!!
ive never had my tickets or id checked on entering a vw show. There is no bar code on the ticket, there is a ticket number and a hologram but as someone said, if they want to check the numbers against a list then it will be a bloody long wait. as for checking the name on the ticket against an id - its a vw show for F***s sake. there is no name on the ticket.
If my son hadnt broken his ******* leg we would be going.
I had no idea that they were being sold or indeed were in such demand on ebay that the organisors are taking such dractonian action.
If anyone wants the tickets then PM me. you can have 'em as they are no use to me. If you cant get in ill send you the petrol money
    :(

I think the Vanfest Ticket issue has caused some ill feeling with genuine supporters of the show..they feel let down by the way its been handled in general...but from a different perspective, it beats the ebay ticket touts.

Lets hope next year is organised differently?
