I go away on 4 weeks and cannot fix this juddeting then breaking down ? Changed everything, simply everything including top end rebuild ???
Peel of the afm cover and move the arm inside on the potentiameter this will activate the fuel pump. By points .You will hear it .if you think its that ...do you have another double relay handy .? I sold you a good one ... Do a quick change you don't have to go through to the firewall just yet. Let it hang. Check the wire and the sensor munber two fom the head .
Did you change the spark plugs .? Could be fouling from richness . Even if they dont look like it ...
Could well be the fuel pump, there's a new one in that FI stuff you had off me, mine had an intermittent fault, broke down low power, was fuel Pump giving up , what's your symptoms?
It drives like a train then all of a sudden it's like it's not getting any fuel, judders loses power and stops.
Sorry to hear you are conked out - looks like M6. On my MG it was the rotor arm that let me down - but the coil could also be breaking down when hot
Top left firewall . Youll see a metal cigar looking resister above it ,leave that alone ... Only Two grommet plugs . Remove one plug at a time ..and install to new one . Then do the other ..check your tem sens line from the head make sure its in the head and wired up . Dont burn your hands . Feel all the tubes with your hands ,especially the big j tube ..move them about ..for loosesness ..
