what should i do before i use my van

My van has been sitting on the drive for the last 6 months, no real reason just lack of time and being lazy if i had to tell the truth.

My question is that is there things i should do before i use my van after it has been sitting unloved for a while? Is there thing need greasing or can i just give it a jump and off i go?

Fire it up and go for a drive. You'll find out if anything's packed up. Your brakes might feel a bit crunchy to start with.

Nothing like a good blast to clear out the cobwebs. He'll thank you for it.

I'll go along with Snotty, if it starts and moves have a drive.

 

Actually, yes, go for a wee and don't forget to wear a coat it's very cold out.

 

Get a tetanus jag

 

Yes that, and brush your teeth and make sure you've got clean pants on.

 

Check your fuel lines and oil level.

 

Choose wider roads so when you pass a gap in the hedge you still have space to swerve left again in the wind.
Take a mobile phone.

 

This ^ and grease yer nipples.

 

Sell it .

 

And stout shoes for walking back home.
