What happens when you let me loose with a decent camera amongst scooters...

  1. It's amazing what you find when you go browsing through your photos. :)

Me, a Sony A100 and spot focus. I'm happier with some of these than others, but I just thought I'd share. Back story: outside the Assembly Rooms in Derby, just happened to be there at the same time as what looked like a Mod wedding.

I has a1958 Lambretta LDB150 in the 70s. Like the pink one in the picture , only blue and white.

Cost me £3 and a non-runner when I got it. Pushed it 5 miles to my house. My first project of a mechanical nature. Nice easy starting point being a 2-stroke and very simple.

I used to fall off it fairly regularly. The horn didn't work so I fitted a bicycle air bulb type horn down by my right foot which got it through it's MoT. One day the bulb comes off the horn and settles itself under the rear brake lever just as I'm coming up to a junction.

Had to throw the scooter down and slide sideways up to the traffic, a bit like speedway!

    Soon moved on to motorbikes!
