I've just finished Dan Brown's 'The lost Symbol' (not because i'm such a slow reader but because I'm tight and I buy my books on the cheap once they have been out in paperback for ages) I was thinking about reading 'A Million Little Pieces' by James Frey or 'The Road' by Cormac McCarthy next. (anyone read either? I've heard some good things about both)
The Turn Of The Screw, Henry James. At the moment, I am reading stuff that is out of copyright so that I can download it for free. Just finished The Count Of Monte Cristo, Alexandre Dumas. That was looooong.
Trudi Canavan: The Rogue (the Traitor Spy Trilogy, Book 2). Sci-fi / Fantasy genre ... magicians, spies, secrets etc etc ... Before that I read Kathy Reichs: Virals ... good book and different to her other stuff. I am trying to get through the pile of books beside the bed before I buy any others ... but I have a list of ones to get
Tom Wilson as i'm building another type 4 engine. I read the book at night and then dream about a bloke who looks like Magnum P.I and engines and all night and how each bit goes together. Still wake up with morning glory though - how f'd up is that ;D
Pratchett 'Nation' only a few pages in and haven't immediately hooked into it cos I'm more familiar with the Discworld novels... Will stick with it!!
The Long Walk Sławomir Rawicz http://www.amazon.co.uk/Long-Walk-True-Story-Freedom/dp/1845296443 [/size] Excellent true story
Currently just started a book called 'this book could save your life'..........................here's hoping Just finished Mo Hayder, if you like Stig Larson and Jo Nesbo, Mo is the next stop. Not sure where to go next which is why I've gone off topic with my current book. So, If Nesbo is the new Larson and Hayder the next Nesbo..........who after Hayder??
Bushrangers - Australia's self-made heroes. A nice bit of light history reading. I'm also pleased with the full set of 1st Edition Famous Five books I picked up at auction last week. ;D
