I had a lovely drive in to work this morning. The sun was shining, the air was fresh,there was a dew on the ground and the occasional wisp of mist over the fields - I was at one with my VW It's days and drives like that, that lift my mood and remind me why I bought the van. Shame it had to end with me sitting in a 6 storey concrete office block in Basingstoke. But hey....... there's always the drive home to look forward to. 8)
Sounds wonderful apart from the Bassingstoke bit. That use to be one of my drugs drop of towns. . I miss my drive to work and then driving all day (about 300 miles a day). But working on our house is good too. Sent from my BlackBerry 8520 using Tapatalk
basingstoke is like marmite love it or hate it i lived here since 1985...hate it... *shrugs* cold unfriendly place....the forum people here have made me happier and more content that my neighbours and colleagues in the past lol!!!!!!!...maybe we should have one of those villiages and take it over and name it after vw's :O.... .....teehee
Hmmm a vw commune. It could work! I not so keen on Basingstoke - wouldn't say I hate it, I know some nice people there, but it hasn't got a lot of character or soul has it........just a lot of roundabouts and 60s concrete towerblocks/offices.
weve been off this week so weve been out in the bus all over the south east. Brighton, Lewis, Beechy head, worthing, chichester. These are our maiden voyages. not had Lord Percy long so ive been going out in ever increasing circles just to get to know the rattles. Got an annoying squeak on the rear offside brake. Comes on after 10mins. So far thats all. Going out in him for the day today too. off to dungeness.
