Westfalia Roof flap , what holds it in the open position?

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by Popsy, Jul 23, 2019.

  1. Hi All I finally got the hinges to fit the Roof bed flap , but I don’t know what I need to keep the flap in the open position, I stupidly thought it would rest on the roof , can I have some pics of the bits that hold it, I’m guessing straps ? Need them fairly quick too as we go away on Friday!
Here’s pics of what I’ve got [IMG]

  2. It's supposed to hinge under and the popper things pop into the bottom of the main part of the bed. All the bits to make it work are shown below, the bits are rare like rocking horse Marmite

  4. Oh ok thanks, I’ll have a look in the box of bits that I got with the van , I do remember having a metal bar in there , thought it was a kind of bonnet stay ! Let’s hope that’s it , I’ll check when I get in from work in the morning
    Thanks for the replies
