Anyone getting rid of a working WEBER 32/36 Progressive? Preferably from a 2Ltr ? Please email me if you have one. Thanks
Ned Faux is selling one with the runners. I'm selling a solex progressive with runners - there is a bit of a price difference though...
I also have what I think might be a weber - I can't find a name on it but it looks the same as Ned's. Has runners too. Which ever one they are £200 each + postage as they are heavy. Next show for me is VF. The solex one has candy apple red powder coated runners like my engine. Both are jetted for 1700 ;D
Bit out of my price range at the moment... but thank you for the reply... Don't need the runners - only the carb. Was hoping for one jetted for a 2ltr - but thats just so I could see how a working one is setup, more than anything.
I've got a 32/36 DFAV progressive for sale! Haven't thought of a price, they cost £300 new, I guess a £100's about right. I had it in running fine in my van and fiddled around with various jets to get it running right. Being an honest(ish) chap I would say that if you want to get good economy you've got to think about a pre-heat mod. I've read a lot of stuff on these things and if you don't do the mod (which I haven't) you have to run rich which leads to poor economy (19mph for me). However there's much more grunt than a solex. Rolling road is a must to get the best out of it. You pays your money, you take your choices. I've got the Carb, inlet manifold, pancake air filter (modified for a wingnut fitting) and a selection of jets. Let me know if your interested. I'm in Yeovil Somerset and will be going to Oktoberfest (though not in my van). God nows what P&P is.
