  7. No. It's based on the same platform (EA-111) but the 1.4 total flex engine used in the Danbury's was a variant developed in South America to run on ethanol as well as petrol. Since the 1970's with the oil crisis, engines in cars over there have been required to run on a much higher ethanol-content fuel than we are used to over here.

Ok - I'll phrase the question differently - could that engine be used in a Danbury esque conversion - i.e. use the same linkages and mounts, gearbox etc?

  9. @3901mick what part of the country fella? That's the same as my run around could do with whole rear wiper motor etc

  10. £15 posted ?

  11. Is that the motor and mech that pokes out of the tailgate?

  12. Yes mate, I have not tried it so would need to test if you want it !

  13. Yes bud, give it a test if it's all ok, I'll have it

  14. Sorry, got carried away. I don't see why not, the engine mount points will most likely be the same. If anything it would be a simpler engine than the more modern total flex. However, it's only 60bhp, so why?

I suppose because its been done, didn't realise they were so poor on power...I guess Danbury's are lighter than older vans.

  16. You know that Danbury don't put the engine in. They come over like it from brazil.

  17. It works, the washer jet is not blocked. The big nut stripped the ali thread though when I undid it (or not). Not sure if this will affect it as the 2 x 10mm bolts hold it all in place. Let me know :)
