Not trying to cause online bitching, but received some fresh air hoses and they smell so bad on cigarettes have thrown away packaging, receipt and put them outside. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. Used VWH loads and never had any issues, emailed them and they responded with a returns label AT MY EXPENSE !!
Yeah they are arseholes. I complained about something. Paid for a delivery next day to go to work and they turned up at home as I used PayPal. Same as you, they offered a returns label.
I bought a model kit 2nd hane once and the cardboard box stunk of fags. It stunk so bad I had to sell it again on ebay for a higher price.
The bloke at the garage said it was due to movement of Jah people, so I assume something just needed tightening up.
The mail order packages from Maplin Electronics (when they used to be a mail order distributor in Southend) back in the 70's used to smell of pipe tobacco. It used to make the jiffy bags seem strangely exotic. Anyway. Glue smells, the outside of those hoses smell of glue. The inside is covered in plastic or is metal so it wont smell. I dont think this is an issue specifically with Heritage. I think they are being very kind to even accept their return, as the parts are obviously functionally fit for purpose.
I have bought rubber matts ect that smelled of petrol (ie as they are petrol based material) just hung them in the fresh air for a few days to clear.
Bought a rubber dash mat and for a couple of months thought it was the biggest mistake I'd ever made! Smells fade and it's not like the parts are going in the sweetness smelling cupboard.
they have to send it to the address you have with PayPal or you’re not covered by PayPal protection , just gotta change the address in PayPal
