VW Expo @ Stonor Park - 2nd June 2013

A one day VW Expo at Stonor Park, Henley-on-Thames RG9 6HF​

I've been told by friends that this is a great event to attend with lots to feast the eyes upon, great variety of VWs and trade stands set in the grounds of a beautiful stately home.

"The ASSOCIATION OF BRITISH VW CLUBS in association with Cool Flo Vintage, VW Heritage and Adrian Flux welcomes all enthusiasts of VW and its associated marques, and their families, to VW EXPO AT STONOR PARK 2013, the 29th meeting at this venue.​

Stonor Park has been the home of the Stonor family for over 800 years, the house being built around 1190. It contains many items of rare furniture and paintings and will be open to you on the Sunday afternoon by showing your admission ticket, as entry to the house is included in the ticket price. The grounds are situated along the B480, to the north of Henley on Thames and are within easy reach of the M4 & M40 motorways. ​

The show will be open between 9.00 am and 4.30 pm and there will again be a single charge for entry to VW Expo and the Stately Home of £9.00 per adult, whilst children under 16 get in for free. Refreshments and toilet facilities will be available as usual. The show’s attractions are as follows:​

We went when we lived in Luton was a good day out .

 

We'll go if it's not p*ssing down. Got soaked last year.
But it was a good show, it'd be great to meet some people as last year it was our 1st ever excursion and we knew no-one.

 

Its a real nice friendly show, we have been going for the last 5 years as its just a 15min drive.

Giving it a miss this year though as we are heading off to the Vintage Nostalgia Show for a change of scenery.

 

Have not been but want to go this year. Looks good and some nice vids on glue tube. I am such a light weight. i. will need sunny weather and take the kiddies.

What has happened to summer. Chucking it down where I am.

 

Definitely going now, subject to successful fitting of Accuspark tomorrow.
It's June and we STILL havent been away!

Forecasting lovely sunshine this Sunday!

 

As the weather so good we're going for a day by the river in Henley. Then camp tonight and trundle down to Stonor in the morning. Can't wait.

Turns out to be a very good plan. There's live music, bouncy castles, stalls and loads of other stuff right on the riverside. I'm just sampling the delights of bar!

It's a little place in Binfield Heath, just outside Henley called the mother in laws drive.
