If you're selling the business shouldn't that include everything to do with that business including all three vans?

i did look at that and wonder, as you'd have to redo the whole website, and unless the future use bookings are quite full it's a lot of cash for a van and a website addy.

I'm struggling to understand how a hire business can be sold without the items that are for hire - or at least 2 of them o_O

I think its just a way of selling a really expensive bus tbh.

  7. So you have a bus for sale basically - for £23k . It is a good looking bus though - same as ours but with a red interior -ours is black/white - must put ours back to westfalia spec.

We could of course all be wrong.
It could come with a diary full of confirmed bookings for next year?

It might but I had a look at the available hire days up to September next year and I couldn't see any bookings at all just regular blocked out days.

That's probably why they're keeping the other 2 buses....

Which is completely not relevant unless you are geographically in the same place - if you are, the bookings would need to be in the name of the company to be worth anything.

Is there anyway someone can access the accounts ?

    Ask the seller?

  13. Yep, these are conversations to have with the seller, not on a 'for sale' post. Thanks.

Is a free 'For Sale' advert to be considered sacrosanct on TLB now?

If the seller chooses to use a forum such as this as a vehicle to sell something they should be prepared for others to ask questions. The seller can then choose to answer those questions or not and in public or not.

I personally think questions about what is included in the sale and what future bookings the business has are quite reasonable questions to ask.

i think from the point of view as to stop us all "bitching" pete was looking at new members earning the right to post for sales, the o/p is a one post wonder and it's a dumb for sale thread which is why we may all look a bit unfriendly and bitchy - but i think it's rude to come in and not even say hi so it's probably justified.

I was hoping for independent audited accounts to be honest.

  18. Why so? Advertisers first post - lots of questions - no answers. Seems reasonable to ask!

    or - what Rick said!

If sellers think twice about putting stuff up for sale because of 'perceived' (please note!) sniping, they won't do it. If you are concerned about any sale, report it or contact admin or a mod. Contact the seller direct via pm if you want further clarity.

This thread is being watched and the seller has been contacted about the need for further information.
