  4. i eventually found the tlb stand but only because it was the only bunch of late bays there.
nice to say hi to a few people and put faces to a couple of usernames
its fair to say there was little if any organisation of club stands by the dis-organisers. i was with dbs and got there friday about 6pm. there were no designated club stands and it was just a free for all. we parked up and kept having to move for various reasons so in the end we went to the far side. this worked well but we ended up on a 4 car club stand
thanks for the new style tlb card left on my table :)

Can I put a point across that I did last year:

All the members on TLB are offered the chance of displaying regardless of the condition of their bus just as long as it can get there.

We laugh and joke about people's buses but this club is a club for all latebays an crossovers. It's not just about shiny paint engine bay shine offs :)

Personally if someone offered to bring a bus that was mid resto I would say yes. It shows diversity within the club. Our buses are very individual with unique looks unlike some fashion looks that just look like clones ofthe next one in the line.

However if you wanted to display a T25 or Beetle or anything else then you would be told "No" :)

  7. How much is it for the whole weekend?

I'm happy to display next year

  16. My one and only show was Elemental last year. This was about two weeks before it went in for its first resto holiday so the van really wasn't for public consumption (but I was roped in to the display after meeting everyone at Birchanger services).

Most people were very nice about the van as we also had the Viking roof up and they are things to marvel at, but according to my missus one woman simply stuck her head in, said "oh it's not one of the nice ones" and promptly walked off.

  17. Even my missus who 'hates' me spending every penny and minute on the van got very quickly bored with show and shine. We should have a sign saying show and shine that way, rust and grime but climb all over this way!

  20. Nice to meet you all on Saturday. Enjoyed the show and the weather :) Not so sure about £2.80 for 10 or so chips though

I found the pitch was a bit lacking in atmosphere, as it felt it was away from the main show and more like part of the car park, than an actual display. If the piece of grass actually lead somewhere and was signposted, it would have been better, but we were just backed up against the fence, with not much room for people to walk around.

As mentioned earlier a larger display of buses would make it better.

Come Sunday morning and afternoon, we all wished we had camped and were still there in the sunshine.
