I am selling my beautiful VW Bay Campervan, MOTd till July 2016 – she’s ready to start camping straight away, running like a dream with a replacement 2ltr engine from Cool Air VW (only done about 60-70 miles since new engine fitted). She has very little rust (save the very odd bubble), is very solid and looks amazing (considering being 37 years old)! She sleeps 4 people - 2 adults down below in either a double bed or two singles, and 2 children up in the pop top in two fantastically cosy hammocks. The campervan is extremely versatile and can adapt into lots of different layouts thanks to the seats being on rails. For sleeping you can have a double bed or two singles, for eating a table can be put up in the middle and two seats either side, you can make a cosy corner sofa layout for settling down in the evenings, for cooking a clever cooker folds upwards from under one of the seats and you can add a helpful meal preparation table too and finally for travelling, all seats can be set to face forward as you hit the open road! A massive amount of work and time has went in to this Campervan in the last 12 months to make it what it is now – In the interior - All seats re-upholstered New curtains and cushions Serviced pop top All walls and floors scrubbed down and cleaned to a high standard Bunting put up, giving the van a fun look The van itself – Replacement 2ltr CJ engine from Cool Air VW, only done between 60-70 miles since fitted. Includes Crack tested crankcase, Reground crankshaft, New camshaft, New main bearings, New big end bearings, New camshaft bearing, New camshaft followers, New barrels, New pistons with new piston rings, New gudgeon pins, New flywheel oil seal, Refaced flywheel, New spark plugs, New cylinder heads, New valves. Runs like a dream! New U Bracket (hinge) and serviced rollers for the sliding door Exhaust serviced with new bolts Handbrake serviced and adjusted Brakes serviced New ignition coil New distributor (including cap and rotor arm) New foam engine seal New fuel pump Also includes an awning and two vintage style sun chairs. As I have mentioned, there are a few rust bubbles around the body (photos of these can be supplied from the dealer), but for a van which has spent all it's life in Scotland it is in fantastic condition! This van is truly stunning and will be a great addition to any family. Unfortunately, it has came to the time for me that I need to move on. I have loved every minute I have had traveling in this van, and really hope it will now find a loving new home. PRICE - £16,500 This van is being sold through a dealer at MotorhomeDepot, Inverness, Scotland. Please esquire via the advert on their website here - http://www.motorhomedepot.com/M-7924-VW-Danbury-T2-Bay Thank you for looking!
Forgot to mention - The van has done 54,828 miles from new, only around 65 of these miles being on the reconditioned engine!
Another thing I forgot to mention - this van is Right Hand Drive, made for the UK Market, never imported. Has always lived in Scotland.
To be honest Darren you could put an extra grand on it for being in the hands of the legendary Darren McRae And all the best for the future Darren .
