Veneer glue

  1. My sink cover got wet & the veneer is peeling off, any recommendations for a glue to stick it back? Or just any old stuff?

A smear of Gorilla wood glue (polyurethane/isocyanate) with plenty of even pressure.
That glue technology cures with small amounts of moisture. But it foams up slightly so keep up the pressure.
Epoxy glues (18 hour Araldite.. West .. Gurit.. need dry surfaces) , Sikaflex polyurethane (moisture curing) are alternatives.
Sticks like xxxx may work but some of them arent waterproof enough.

Look at glues used on boats.

In this case PVA (pritt stick and friends) is probably the most useless..

Duct tape. has to be mentioned because of its general inapplicability to all situations. Apart from temporary use. And for fixing aircraft hydraulic systems .. (TV series Lost,2010)

  3. Used evo-stick on mine and has been ok for 5 years but the hot sun on surface can make the glue soft and lift a little, just needed pressure to re stick.

  4. High temp contact adhesive

  6. I wouldn't use gorrilla glue, works great but expands a fair bit you may end up with a lumpy mess
