Value of a t2 front beam

  1. Evening all.
    Out of interest...

What is a t2 front beam complete with arms etc worth. Solid with surface rust.

  2. If it`s solid £250 - £350 , maybe more for a RHD with servo mount ...

I sold mine. Rhd with servo bracket for £450.

Though tbh it looked in better condition than yours. I didn’t include spindles.

  8. Well planning on shot blasting and powdercoating this one and then swapping out the one on my bus

  9. Plus mine doesn't have a servo bracket on it at present . What does that mean?

Servo bracket is for accommodating the servo unit for the breaking system , an addition on later models to improve the system ...it's welded to the beam on the beam bar top ...left hand side for L/H drive and vice versa for right .
Not a problem if you don't want servo advantage .....just press your foot down on the pedal hard that's the only difference.

Its the bit at the bottom of the beam in the end caps that matters.. where the rust is mostly working... could look good but be paper thin.
If it doesnt give way when you hit it with a hammer its worh more. If it develops holes....tough.. maybe can sell for £100 without arms..

  13. Appreciate the responses.. I shall be checking with the hammer tonight haha. .

As I said this is spare.. I have mine fitted stil at present so I could build this up nice. Refurb it and then drop. Mine and shift it on

I picked a beam up for lasty and the guy had left it out on his gravel drive uncovered.
    Gravel loves grease

  16. Exactly as @crossy2112 says , the guy i bought the beam off had sold the leaf springs so took the spindles off and prior to Crossy picking it up for me he'd dragged the open ends across a gravel drive - total knob...
When i collected the beam from crossy2112 at techenders he'd degreased , powerwashed and bagged up the beam - total star
