  5. Well we just got home. We never enjoy this show on a chilling level as we end up helping most of the weekend (as do most of our local club every year) so we are nackered but walked away with a smile, just a shame that wasn't the same for some that had brought tickets just to come and see others eh @3901mick

However that said, some great bands, sensible priced bar, great drive out, fun soapbox racing and great fun on the slip and slide today - we have had a long week but enjoyable one and always good to meet old and new friends (we even got to race our soap box entry with a fellow TLB - will post a vid soon, don't think we ever did catch his name  doesn't do technology but comes to winter and summer camp - hopefully @hippyrichy can help us with that or @horts, @Birdy - had Green Bus and was a nice chap

Hopefully every one else had a good weekend and all had/have a safe trip home:hug:

@Barneyrubble cheers for the cooking the curry was most enjoyable:thumbsup:

  7. Cheers Mick - a lot of fun had today with a few others - even we both had a go each - not had chance to even get camera to look at vids/pics yet but will do! Toby really pleased to see that  Good to see you both!

  8. To much sun shine and wind....

  9. Back home - blimey it's a tad windy ain't it! Not a problem though as the sun did shine a fair bit. First off the Guys who slaved away in putting on this deserve a big thanks ! Well done ! If you like music ( we do ) it's a major attraction - if you're after picking up a bit of VW you would have been in the wrong place.

A good vibe, family friendly, no rip off prices, some decent caterers, no complaints! Would we go again? Yes - it's got the makings of a fab gathering - oh, and we have free tickets for next year as the Woof won the best dressed dog comp!!

  10. Hey Barney... we'd hoped to meet you there this year but ended up going to the New Forest instead. Sorry it wasn't what you'd hoped and that we didn't get to see you there, but we hope we can meet up again at the next event. We're going to Dubs in the Forest at the end of September, which will probably be our last trip of the year... just a shame it clashes with Teckenders!

  11. We really enjoyed this weekend
Yes it was a bit windy and we were camped in the car park , but apart from that it was a cracking weekend
We're staying the rest of the week for the scooter rally , then going home on bank holiday monday.
So if anybody sees a tatty green devon come and say hello

  12. We had a lovely time - but not really a Vw show. Probably enjoyed the first year it was on more - bigger is not always better.

  13. We will be at the Scooter Rally this weekend, parked up at Smallbrook Stadium, come say hi!

  14. I was at the festival on the Thur/Fri and left Sat morning. This was planned although to be honest 2 days was enough. Great site, great facilities, however my biggest gripe was the lack of traders who didn't turn up. I was informed that 45% of traders hadn't turned up which was very disappointing and not one auto-jumble stall! We had travelled from Manchester and a lot of expense incurred to make it to this festival. That aside, there was a great family vibe.

Some toss pot at 3am on Friday morning decided to scream and shout for half an hour about his disappointment of the festival and I'm surprised no-one shut him up with a slap. BTW the way, did you guys get to see the burlesque dancers in the bottom tent? Must admit I did a runner when the belly dancer turned up for obvious reasons!

We really enjoyed visiting the IOW, shame we didn't hook up.
