Type 4 to Type 1 bellhousing?

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by Deefer66, Sep 21, 2019.

  1. Will it bolt up to bench test?.. would I need a type 1 starter too?..or is it just easier to get a type 4 bellhousing and be safe.. already have starter for that.. wont be fitting the pressure plate at this stage....

  2. Only difference is the depth of the bellhousing , hence why there are 2 different lengths of starter motor!

  3. Ta.. so I'd need a type 1 starter for the collection to use one of them...
