  1. I hate trick or treat. I shall be wearing my blond wig and string vest again this year. Now then, now then.

(So much for scoffing all the haribo myself, it’s like a plague of sugar crazed locusts have descended! They’re not even slightly perturbed by the grim reaper!! )

  11. To be honest I hate it, its begging. Someone has just posted on Facebook that locally some kid has been choking on what looked like a bear, once he had thrown it up it smelt like washing detergent. I cant believe people would do that to a child but ....... I was taught never take food off a stranger. Now the parents are marching them round to do it ??? Am I missing something ???

It's an American thing. Can't be doing with it.

That hasn't stopped us buying a load of choccies, despite having no sign of welcoming any callers (pumpkin on the porch is the "sign" round here). Looking forward to scoffing them later

That's mad, why would someone do that?! Round here the general rule is, if you put a pumpkin out, you're open for Halloween, trick or treat, costumes, and all that. If you don't like it, or don't want to be involved, don't stick a pumpkin by your house and the kids will just walk on by without knocking. I know it's an American thing - but I'm not keen on much they've contributed to the world, so I celebrate this one. It's just an excuse for a bit of fun. Making sweets out of washing powder just to stop kids calling, that's sick.

  16. Blimey, your worse than Hayley. She's running around with her pumpkin tights on, giving out sweets from her cauldron (which means dinner will be late) and coughing over the kids, she does have a cold though.

Ha brilliant, good for Hayley! I can sympathise too.... I’ve got a stinker of a cold at the mo, and it’s not easy coughing and spluttering inside a grim reaper mask!

  19. My plan was so cunning you could pin a tail on it and call it a fox.
Went to the local Tesco on the way home and purchased loads of fun sized packs of all my favourite sweeties and choccy bars.
No pumpkin outside my house, so no trick or treaters.
Lots and lots of goodies for me.
I’m warming to this whole Halloween business.

  20. Reckon I'd probably choke if I tried to eat a bear, so fair play to the kid for trying.
