No one ever comes trick or treating down the long dark track to our house ......only once when my grandad was living with us ...who was a Scot from fife . Two young lads knocked at the door , and my granddad lifted the letter box and said .....There's no one in this hoose accept me and am daft in the heed . No one has ever been down since .
I’m quite happy to turn the lights off and ignore the knocks. Annoyingly Sarah isn’t and has bought lots of sweets. More annoyingly she makes me share door answering. We get quite a lot of them too. At 9 pm I took in the lights and refused to answer the door
Anyone remember the Holsten Pils trick or treat tv advert from the early eighties. I think it got pulled. Can't find it anywhere. Was it banned.?
I make sure I buy a load of sweets. A good twenty quids worth. I then answer the door from 5pm to 8pm. Then I turn off all the lights and eat the mountain of sweets that’s left over. Love it.
I love Halloween. The Pumpkins are carved, the sweets are bought, and my costume is sorted I normally get loads of knocks at the door, up until about 9pm, but I think the rainy weather might put people off tonight. Might have a load of sweets to eat myself!
Apparently, after last year, dressed in blood stained dungarees in a Hockey mask, with a running chainsaw without the chain on the bar, is unacceptable.
Round here, the kids come round with their parents and money is what they want, not sweets. Posh kids don't eat sweets.
