Towing a bay with an A-Frame...

  1. fighting them off with stick now, maybe I should keep them and rent them out in the summer, let them earn their keep... :thinking:

    Really considered this but don't know where to start to sort out insurances etc.

    Anyone any ideas?

  5. just seen this thread and as far as im aware legally

    1: a A frame can only be used to recover a fully legal (taxed tested and insured) broken down vehicle to to nearest safe place
    2: any trailer over 750kg must have automatically opperating overun brakes
    3: a bay can only legal tow 500kg so you will be massively over train weight wise

    plus even a type4 van would be dog slow think double weight so half power it would be like a driving a 35bhp 1200cc bay :eek:

    if you got stopped it would be a defo court apperance! if you had a accident my advice would be dont bend over in the shower :eek: :eek: :eek:
