I need some tips on how to re insert the torsion leaves into a beam whilst its on the bus Id removed the leaves whilst they were off the bus and managed to get them back in whilst standing the beam on end. I started to fit the suspension arms today and thought id fitted the leaves the wrong way round so removed them. Upon removal i found i had fitted them the correct way but now i cant get them in no matter what i try.
Its ok ive managed to do it by inserting them one at a time starting from the centre What a faff on that was
i've used the cable tie trick a few times but it doesnt always work, on splits ive seen the end of the leaves tacked together with weld dont know if it was factory or not though? i find fitting the outer small leaves first then slipping the middle wider leaves in after works best for me
