Torque figure cylinder head ?

  1. Just a quick one is there a torque figure for the 2 inlet manifold to cylinder head nuts ? Just replaced the gaskets on them Type 1 twin port .
    carnt seem to find any figure in my books for them

    It is hard to get a spanner to the nuts that is big enough to be able to put the torque on the nuts.

    So the answer is really - done up the same amount as the other nut and tight enough to crush the metal gasket.


    It can make life easier if you use the 12mm nuts intended for exhausts instead of 13mm as that may let you get a ring spanner on the nuts.
     
  6. I've got thin nuts ! Ohh err
    Plus I shaved the walls of a socket right down so it fits over with a flexible extension bar .
    And as there only low torques the socket works ok
