Nah, center of the world is Yorkshire!!
Centre of Uk is Dunsop Bridge Lancashire apparently.
I'm guessing we're just talking England?
Somewhere around Weston park would be nice and feels kind of central
Most of Yorkshire still Denies the existence of Lancashire.........
In all honesty
With such a large and wide spread membership on the late bay nowadays
I think it may be a good idea to have the seasonal camps split into regions
I cant afford to do winter camp that far south those down south cant afford to do spring camp up in yorkshire
So maybe split things into south mids and north?
Anyone is free to organise a Tlb camp. And we're here to offer any assistance. Think Keith h's field is a good location for a future Tlb summer camp. It's getting close to being central anyway.
Like I said earlier I'm only thinking of a move this year because lots of the people who'd have normally come Springcamp are going Eskdale , so two camps in more or less the same place within two weeks don't seem viable . not many would do both, To be on the safe side and get a feel for a place it's important to know the venue so i've only ever organised camps at places i've been before, so this year moving it further south is gonna be on a wing and a prayer, and only if we can get enough to come is it worth organising, at the moment on the poll we have a majority wanting a camp later in the year so the best date is the early May bank holiday coz there's not much else from what i can see on that weekend and if the weathers nice and people wanted they could stay over till the monday, 2nd/3rd/4th/5th May , in reality no one's gonna come from outside the edge of this map so I reckon in the blue square is where i need to be looking.
I've stayed here a couple of times - http://www.lyndontop.com/default.aspx. Really friendly, laid back place. Gaaawjus views of the reservoir and only £7 per night. They will allocate you your own field if you plan on being a rowdy bunch too
Isn't it Stanford hall that weekend ?
Good point and Elemental is a few weeks earlier, organising a camp is hard to fit in between the shows, people could organise a convoy down to stanny on the Sunday from rutland if it was there it's not far, but getting caught in massive jam and looking at a rows of buses and cars that are there every year aint my thing, if we have it there I reckon i'll be riding my bike around Rutland water shaking my hangover off
Lynton Top looks like its a nice location with some great scenery - if Spring Camps held there then Im sure closer to the time those wishing to go to Stannie Hall could possibly arrange a cruise down, the guys n gals staying behind, fair enough!
Don't know if this will work but here goes...
Oo it worked - I'll just add this one on...
Dog friendly too!
