09.09.2016 Decided to cut the brake MC as one of the bolts would not budge plus it is probably past it's sell-by date and when it comes to brakes, you cannot be to careful A few pics. Trying to pull the lever (pitman?) off of the steering box but proving to be a bugger - manage to move it about 5mm. My puller keeps slipping off. Will keep at it and I will get it off!
17.09.2016 Working away last few weeks so had some time this morning to see if I can get the pitman arm off - no joy Had spent some time removing the underseal from under the front offside arch which went well. Put some rust converter on and then today added some seam sealer Once sufficiently hardened I chucked on some etch primer - will leave this for a day or so then go over the seam sealer where I have noticed that coverage wasn't great then get some primer and top coat on - happy days Cheers.
Is that the brush on seam sealer in a tin? If it is keep an eye on it as it has a habit of shrinking and cracking Also it's best practice to etch prime before seam sealing as the acid in the etch can lift the edges of the seam sealer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

In a tin - can't remember the name of it. I found that if I put etch primer or any paint down then seam sealer, it reacts with the paint while it is still viscous. Once hardened then no issues. Not put primer or top coat on as yet as it can shrink slightly so will be checking (a few areas I didn't cover very well) and adding some more.

02.10.2016 Worked away last weekend so no van work. Oh, got a new phone with a decent camera so the pics should be OK again..... Grabbed a few hours today, finishing the seam sealer on the onside - a few pics: Once dried started to spray some red primer on the offside but ran out..... So, looks like this at the mo: Continued:
After removing all the lose rust and painting on some rust converter yesterday, today I painted on some seam sealer in the nearside arch area - a few pics: Continued:
Once it had dried, popped on some etch primer - some more pics: This week will hopefully add some more seam sealer then paint some red primer in to both sides. Then, back on with removing the steering box.

Its amazing how satisfying this is, especially when the top coat colour goes on. What also amazing is how others (especially women) fail to share in your excitement over it! lol
Halfords rattle cans first then Epoxy Mastic acting as a barrier finishing off with rattle cans again (that's the plan anyway!!)
No need for the rattle cans at the beginning then Just go over it with epoxy mastic It's going to cost a fortune to go over with Halfords rattle cans for the final colour finish Have you considered getting some rustoleum combi colour mixed up in the colour code you need?
