  2. what difference does it make? why is it better to leave it running?

  3. cause then the fan keeps running, aircooled you know :) So, never shut the engine right after a hard run.
And everytime you fill it up with gas,,check the oil level.

  10. Check the mechanic's credentials carefully. If he looks like this, DO NOT let him work on your van!

  12. Do NOT be tempted to buy those little chrome air valve caps with the VW logo on them (especially the one's that you lock with an allen key to stop kids nicking them) ... they seize on you valves and you end up having to have all 4 valves cut off and replaced!

Thats a great tip for all the new to be thieves of a expanding market of vw's.

Tip change all your pull locks to straight aluminium ones to avoid someone crawling thruogh your indicator fitting with a broom.

  19. I don't know if this is a common thing with Dormobile conversions, might be just mine ?

After rain, when moving off, ensure to keep drivers side window wound up until you have applies the brakes, as otherwise your right arm will get soaked from the torrent of icy water that washes out of the skylight recesses as you apply the brakes.

My skylights are on the right hand side, so may affect passenger if the tops been put on the other way or if it's a left hand drive. I'm gonna save some sheckles and get me some of those fancy rain deflectors for the tops of the front windows :)
