Cheers Jerry that looks doable the only problem I can see is Alcohol boils at 78 degrees but a T4 thermostat opens at 90, to get to that you have to mix with water but I don't know the ratio
Great question Snotts one that had me thinking, I Recall that in an addition reaction, two or more molecules join together to give a single product. Addition polymerisation takes place when the monomer molecule contains double carbon bonds, as in alkenes , or triple carbon bonds, as in alkynes. Oh that takes me back to my school days at Hillcroft Comprehensive school for thugs in Sarf london
I thought propanol or IPA was a better match .. referring to ratwell.com ..Not actually boiling at 80 degrees C but developing a fair vapour pressure. I was at the point of refilling and resealing my thernostat with propanol when I decided that as it had not failed yet, I would leave it, although it shows sign of stretching at ambient temperature..
I've only gone and fixed it, 35mm cold to 45mm and rising at 85deg, then back down to 35mm thanks @Gingerbus for your help, total cost of repair £7.50 for a new cable, I'll be round to measure yours Jerry................ oh Matron
To quote your Go Compare TV advert Bazza - Fantastic!! Didn’t fancy the job meself, thought I’d screw it up completely! You can measure mine any time... just a short ruler will do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
